SAVE SOIL – THAAIMANN KAAKKUM VIVASAAYAM

Save Soil – Thaaimann Kaakkum Vivasaayam (SS-TKV) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming agriculture in Tamil Nadu. With an emphasis on farm economics and agroecology, it provides training in scientific regenerative agriculture techniques to effectively combat soil degradation and the exodus of farmers from the agricultural sector. SS-TKV envisions regenerative agriculture becoming a predominant practice across the state, achieved through a community-driven movement.

• SS-TKV has directly trained 29,000+ farmers in total, of which 16,000+ were unique individuals, while the remaining 13,000+ were repeat participants, in 270+ training programs.
• 9000+ unique farmers trained and hand held have transitioned to regenerative agriculture.
• Over 38,000 farmers connected via 225 regenerative agriculture WhatsApp group networks.
• Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MANAGE (National Centre for Management of Agricultural Extension) to collaborate on scaling up regenerative agriculture practices and developing a national-level farmer training curriculum.
